We believe our work shows policymakers
ways they can foster innovation in schools.
At a time when we have collectively raised
our aspirations for public education, we will be sorely
disappointed if our only strategy is to do the same work
a little faster or harder. Only through dramatic changes
in methods will we get the dramatic changes in outcomes
that we collectively desire. The New School Foundation
can and should encourage policymakers to take bold
actions by sharing our experiences with them.
