Currently the New School Foundation supports programs at South Shore PK-8, a Seattle Public School located in the Rainier Beach neighborhood of south Seattle. We began our support of this school in 2002 when we opened the doors with 102 4- and 5-year olds and have grown a grade every year since. We will be done adding grade levels in the Fall of 2010, when we will be fully populated with PreK through 8th graders.
In fall 2009, the school moved into its new permanent location at the corner of Rainier Ave. S. and S. Henderson Street, completing an educational campus of new or remodeled buildings that includes Dunlap Elementary and South Lake High School.
